Jennifer Beck has nearly 10 years in public relations experience that ranges from nonprofit branding and marketing to media relations and training. She is currently the senior director of development communications at National Jewish Health, the number one Respiratory Hospital in the United States for 15 consecutive years.
At National Jewish Health, Jennifer is responsible for leading the organization’s fundraising communications efforts, including website, social media, newsletters, brochures, events and major gift efforts.
Before joining National Jewish Health in 2010, she served as citizen involvement coordinator at Jefferson County. At Jefferson County, she was responsible for creating and implementing public relations campaigns for a variety of initiatives, including the 2010 Census, and public relations policy, such as the county’s first social media policy for county department use.
Jennifer also was associate director of communications for Mercy Housing, a national nonprofit affordable housing organization. She helped to lead the start of a rebranding initiative and coached executive staff for media interviews in crisis situations. She also created consistent messaging and marketing and public relations materials for the organization’s seven regional business centers.
Jennifer graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder, School for Journalism and Mass Communication, with an emphasis in News/Editorial, and served as a freelance writer for newspapers across the Front Range and a staff writer at The Durango Herald in Durango, Colo.
